Compass entered the yoga scene in Nashville in 2014 when Rebecca began teaching private lessons out of her house. In December 2016, Compass Yoga found a new, bigger studio space inside a crossfit studio. Now, Compass Yoga is moving to central Florida.
My mission with Compass Yoga is to create a more peaceful and loving world by teaching people how to better understand themselves through the physical practice of yoga.

I started Compass Yoga to help make yoga approachable and easy to understand. I want to remove the intimidation factor, simplify the practice, and change the world. Ultimately, I want my students to feel comfortable with themselves. I want them to see humanity in everyone they meet. I want them to treat all humans with kindness, love, and respect even when it's difficult so we can collectively create a more peaceful world.
Making yoga accessible to anyone, anywhere

Meet The Team
When I first moved to Nashville in 2009, I got a dog. To ensure Tasha got the proper amount of exercise, I started running. It wasn't long before I decided to train for a half marathon. Towards the end of my training, I realized something was missing. I turned to yoga to enhance my range of motion and endurance. I thought I was simply going to supplement the running, but soon I found the yoga had more value than that. Yoga is the only exercise I have ever done where I feel like I gain energy. Every time I step off the mat, it is the same phenomenon. Needless to say, I kept going.

I completed my first 200 hour teacher training in late 2010 and taught for awhile. However, "real life" said I should get a "normal" job, so I did. Two and a half years of normal was enough! I quit normal, took a second 200 hour training, and went back to teaching. It was during this second training that I understood my purpose in life - to teach yoga.
